Hedy makes capturing your conversations simple, but understanding the nuances of starting and ending sessions can help you get the most out of your AI assistant.
Starting a New Session
Prepare Your Device
Ensure your device is fully charged
Unpair any headphones or other devices that could block the microphone
Position device for optimal audio capture
Launch Hedy
Open the Hedy app
Select your meeting type
Verify language settings
Start Recording
Tap the Hedy icon to begin your session
Wait for the recording indicator to confirm start

Session Duration Limits
Free Tier: Limited to 300 minutes per month total
Pro Tier: Unlimited session duration
Session tracking for free accounts:
Watch the time tracker at the top of the app as you approach your monthly limit

Share session details
Handling interruptions: If Hedy gets interrupted during a session, such as by an incoming phone call, you can return to Hedy afterwards and it will continue to capture the conversation. This feature is available starting in version 1.10.
Pausing Your Session
You can pause active Hedy sessions and resume them later.
Tap the green Hedy icon during any active session
Select "Pause Session" from the confirmation dialog
The Hedy icon now displays a pause symbol
Session state and context are preserved
Resume exactly where you left off when ready
